Verse 1, again Jesus spoke in parables to the people using an everyday illustration of the Wedding Banquet to get along-side folk and point them to a Biblical truth re a Heavenly Banquet.

‘So the last will be first, and the first will be last’ Matthew 20:16

The word ‘parable’ comes from the Greek word parabole which means ‘a placing beside’ so we could say a parable is a means of speaking into real life, getting alongside life, by means of an illustration or comparison.
